The free things to do with kids on the Upper North Shore that Roolu has today are storytimes and toddler sessions in Hornsby, Pennant Hills and Berowra. That is six listings and nothing else yet, so this is a short guide. We would rather tell you that than pad it.
What is listed
- Storytime for Preschoolers: two listings in Hornsby, one in Pennant Hills and one in Berowra.
- Toddler Tales: two listings in Hornsby.
Everything here is free. We haven't been given session times, exact ages or booking details, so open each listing and check with the organiser.
Which one for which child
Toddler Tales sounds like the pick for the youngest children, and Storytime for Preschoolers for those a bit older. Ask each organiser for the exact age range, because we don't have it. If you have two children of different ages, see whether the sessions are on at the same time or back to back.
Planning around where you live
Hornsby has four of the six listings, so it is the easiest place to build a routine. If you live closer to Pennant Hills or Berowra, each has one storytime listed.
Before you go, it helps to ask:
- Is there a booking or a sign-in?
- How long does a session run?
- Is it fine to bring a younger sibling along?
- Does it pause outside term time?
A short session is a gentle outing for a small child. Aim to arrive a little early, and keep the morning clear afterwards so a tired toddler can nap or play at home.
What is missing
We have no free events, playground guides or community days for the area yet. We're still adding them across the Upper North Shore, so this page will grow. Check the organisers' own pages for the latest details, and come back soon.
