Mulgoa is a quiet corner, and the free options for kids sit mostly in the neighbouring pocket of Glenmore Park. Here is what Roolu has found so far, with a note on what you will need to check yourself.
Playgrounds to try first
Mulgoa Rise Playground North and Mulgoa Rise Playground South are both listed under Glenmore Park. They are the simplest free outing on the list: pack a drink, a snack and a ball, and let the kids set the pace. We do not have details about equipment, shade, fencing or toilets, so check the council page or the signs on the day, and look around when you arrive.
An evening market
Glenmore Park Night Market is listed as a free event. Check the organiser for which nights it runs, the opening times and where to park. Entry is free, but stalls and food cost whatever they cost, so decide on a budget before you go if you are keeping the day truly free.
Local groups with a free try
Roolu also lists local groups in Glenmore Park, such as Glenmore Park Football Club, Glenmore Park Brumbies JRLFC and Phoenix Kai Karate. We do not have a price for these, so ask each one whether there is a free taster or open day. Do the same if you are considering any other local business on the list.
Planning tips
- Go early on hot days. Playgrounds can get warm by midday.
- Bring a rug and a few simple toys, such as a frisbee or bubbles.
- Check the organiser's page on the day. Events can change.
- Car is the easiest way in, so check parking before you set off.
We are still adding free outings for Mulgoa itself, including Mulgoa Rise, Mulgoa Sanctuary and Sovereign. The events and clubs below link to the latest details as organisers publish them, and their own pages are the final word.
