The Eastern Suburbs have three family events listed right now: a spotlight prowl in Centennial Park, a toy swap in Randwick and a fireworks cruise from Double Bay. This guide covers those events and how to check them before you go. No markets are listed yet, so if you are after a regular family market, we are still adding those.
What is listed at the moment
- Spotlight Prowl for Families, in Centennial Park.
- A toy swap at the Saturday Circle, in Randwick.
- A fireworks cruise from Double Bay, with an evening session and a late-night session.
The events below this guide show the dates, links and booking details as the organisers publish them, so we have kept dates out of this page.
Spotlight Prowl for Families
This one is in Centennial Park. We do not have details on what happens on the night, how long it runs, the ages it suits or the cost. Ask the organiser what to bring and whether you need to book. If you have toddlers or babies, ask whether prams can be used on the route.
The Randwick toy swap
A toy swap is a chance to pass on toys your kids have grown out of and find something new to them. Ask the organiser how the swap works, what condition toys should be in and whether there is an entry fee. It may be worth going with your kids a little early or late, depending on how busy it gets, so ask about the format too.
The Double Bay fireworks cruise
The cruise runs in the evening and late at night, so think about bedtimes, tired children and how you will get home. We do not have prices, age limits or what is included, so please check with the organiser. Ask whether younger children are welcome and what the plan is if the weather turns.
Planning your outing
- Check start times and booking rules on the organiser's page before you travel.
- Think about parking or public transport to Centennial Park, Randwick and Double Bay.
- Take a jumper and water, and a rain plan for outdoor events.
- Keep an eye on the listings, as new events are added and old ones drop off.
Event details can change, so use the organisers' own pages for the latest word. We are still adding family events and markets across the Eastern Suburbs, so check back soon.
