Families around Summit Estate can pick from a good mix, from a stage musical and community fishing to swimming, soccer and martial arts. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). Those are NSW public-school dates, and Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar before you plan.

The events on the list

Roolu lists six events near Summit Estate at the moment. They include the Nepean Growers and Makers Market in Jamisontown, Alice in Wonderland: The Musical in Emu Plains and Community Fishing in Penrith. Panthers Penrith has three more listed, including Carollers at Panthers and a carnival. Each organiser sets its own days and times, so open the events below and check that the day suits your family before you promise anything to the kids.

Classes and clubs for the in-between days

There is one class listed so far: a Monday early childhood art class in Emu Plains. Clubs are where the choice opens up:

  • Martial arts: Blue Mountains Taekwondo and Western Sydney Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in Blaxland, and Blue Mountains Tae Kwon Do in Leonay.
  • Soccer: Blue Mountains FC in Leonay and Blue Mountains Soccer Club in Glenbrook.
  • Swimming: Eva Bory’s Swim School in Emu Plains.
  • Dance and cheer: The Heights Dance and Cheer in Emu Plains.

Clubs often work to their own timetables, so ask each one whether it offers anything for the break and which ages it takes. We don't have those details, and we won't guess at them.

Building a day around one thing

  • Pick one anchor, such as a class or an event, and build a simple day around it.
  • The listings are spread across Blaxland, Leonay, Glenbrook, Emu Plains, Penrith and Jamisontown, so check the drive before you commit with kids in the back seat.
  • Contact the organiser about ages, cost and booking. This guide doesn't give prices.
  • Keep a back-up plan for a very hot or wet day, because several of these are outdoors.
  • Mix a big day with a quiet one. Kids usually cope better with a break in between.

We're still adding holiday programs near Summit Estate, so check back as the break gets closer. For the latest details, always go to the organisers' own pages.

Built from Roolu's local listings. Dates, prices and ages can change, so check with each organiser before you go.
