Parents after school holiday activities in Lethbridge Park will find the most choice in martial arts, with a good sprinkling of pools, netball and football clubs. Roolu lists two events, six classes and eight clubs in Mount Druitt, St Marys, Plumpton and Oxley Park. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). Those are the NSW public-school dates, and Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school.
Events on now
Santa's Arrival Parade at Westfield Mt Druitt is a festive outing in Mount Druitt. Elara Village Night Market is in Marsden Park, and it is a night market, so think about whether the timing suits younger children. Dates, times and any costs are for the organisers to confirm, and we haven't listed any.
Classes to look at
Mount Druitt has Little Tigers and Kids Karate, Self Defense and Jiu Jitsu Classes. In St Marys the list is Primary Aged Classes (later timeslot), Little Dragon Champions, Champion Kids and Mat Ninjas. We don't have the exact ages for most of them, so ask the provider which class suits your child. A later timeslot may help if the kids are tired out after a morning outing.
Clubs, pools and leisure
- Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre in Oxley Park.
- Emerton Pools in Plumpton.
- Mount Druitt Netball Association and Western City Rangers in Plumpton.
- Ropes Crossing Strikers in Oxley Park.
- Martial arts at Western Warriors Martial Arts, Nihon Bugeikan Martial Arts and Penrith Jitsu Club, all in Oxley Park.
We don't have opening times or fees for the pool and the leisure centre, so check those before you go. Sports clubs often work to a season, so ask about trials in the break.
A simple game plan
- Try one martial arts class, one pool or leisure trip and one outing.
- Phone ahead for holiday sessions, because term classes may pause.
- Allow travel time. The listings are in the suburbs around Lethbridge Park, not in it.
- Keep a day free for rest.
We're still adding holiday programs for this part of Sydney. For the latest details, use the organisers' own pages from the events and clubs below.
