Lalor Park families have plenty to look at this break. Roolu lists six events across Blacktown and Seven Hills, six music, dance and preschool classes, and eight clubs, including two libraries and a rugby league club. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). Those are the NSW public-school dates, and Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school.
Events nearby
The most family-friendly listing is Teddy Bear Picnic & Christmas Markets in Blacktown. Future Fiestas is also in Blacktown. Three Bushcare meet-ups are listed, at Snowy Reserve and Duncan Park in Seven Hills and at Doonside Crescent Bushland Reserve in Blacktown. There is also a UNSW Youth Legal Workshop called The Criminal Process in Blacktown, which sounds aimed at older kids, so ask the organiser about ages. Dates and booking are up to each organiser.
Classes for little ones
Seven Hills has the classes, and several have clear ages.
- Jazz Hip Hop and Ballet, both for ages 3 to 6.
- Intro to Music (Pre-school / Kindy) and Precious Gems Classes (Preschool).
- Intro to Music (Keyboard) and a Beginner Vocal Group.
Term-based classes may not run in the break, so ask each provider.
Clubs, libraries and sport
Lalor Park Library and Blacktown City Libraries are both listed under Seven Hills, and are a handy free option for a quiet morning. For active kids there is Hwa Rang Do martial arts, Lalor Park Kookas Rugby League Club and St Bernadettes Netball Club. A1 Dance Studio, On The Beat Music Academy and Harmony Music School cover dance and music. We don't have prices or timetables for these.
Making it work
- Combine a free outing, such as a library visit or a Bushcare meet-up, with one paid class.
- Check whether sports clubs offer trial sessions in the break.
- Allow travel time, because most listings are in Seven Hills or Blacktown rather than Lalor Park itself.
- Book early for anything with limited spots.
