Play options for kids in Ryde and Hunters Hill include a Baby Bounce session for the youngest, plus arcades, bowling, escape rooms and virtual reality for older children. We have seven play places listed in Ryde, North Ryde and Macquarie Park, and one session in Hunters Hill. This guide covers what is listed and how to choose.
For babies and little ones
Baby Bounce is listed in Hunters Hill. The name suggests it is aimed at babies, but we do not have an age range, a price or session details. Ask the organiser who it suits, whether you need to book and what to bring. The events below this guide show the current details as the organisers publish them. Apart from this, no playgroups are listed yet.
Play centres and arcades
- Monkey Mania Top Ryde, in Ryde.
- Adventure Park, in Ryde.
- Timezone Australia at Top Ryde, in Ryde.
- Timezone Macquarie Park, in Macquarie Park.
We do not have prices, ages or opening days for these. Ask whether there are height or age limits on play equipment, and whether adults can join in.
Bowling, escape rooms and virtual reality
Strike Bowling Bar is in Ryde, Scram Escape Rooms is in North Ryde and FREAK Virtual Reality is in Macquarie Park. These tend to suit school-age kids and groups, but age limits vary, so check each organiser's rules before you book. We do not have prices or minimum ages.
Where to go
Ryde has the most listed, with four play places in one suburb, so it is an easy base if you want to compare a few. Macquarie Park has two, and North Ryde has one. Hunters Hill has the Baby Bounce session.
Planning a play day
- Check ages and any height rules before you travel.
- Ask about booking, especially for groups or busy times.
- Ask whether adults need to stay and whether socks are required.
- Check opening days, as we do not list them.
Organisers change their sessions and opening times, so use their own pages for the latest details. We are still adding playgroups and play sessions across Ryde and Hunters Hill, so check back soon.
