Ten music schools and studios are listed for kids in The Hills. They are in Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, Kellyville and Rouse Hill, and they include piano and singing studios as well as general music schools. The events and clubs below list them all with links.

Music studios by suburb

  • Baulkham Hills has five: Mark Pigot Music Studio, Ace Music Baulkham Hills, AM4U Singing Studio, Yamaha Music Education Centre and Hills Piano School.
  • Castle Hill: Music with Charlie and Rebecca's Piano Studio.
  • Kellyville: Bollywood School Of Music and Cool Kids Music Co.
  • Rouse Hill: Music Life School of Performing Arts.

What the names tell us

Some names point to a focus. Hills Piano School and Rebecca's Piano Studio suggest piano, and AM4U Singing Studio suggests singing. Bollywood School Of Music suggests a particular style. For the rest we have no details, so check each studio's page for instruments, ages and group sizes.

What we don't know yet

We don't have lesson times, prices or age ranges, and no music events are listed in The Hills at the moment. Ask the studio about:

  • the youngest age it takes
  • whether lessons are one-on-one or in a group
  • whether you need to own an instrument, or can hire one first
  • whether there is a trial lesson
  • how lessons fit with the school terms

Choosing a music school

  • Start with what your child wants to play or sing. A child who picked the instrument is more likely to practise.
  • For younger children, ask about group classes that explore sounds and rhythm before formal lessons.
  • Ask the teacher how they work with beginners and how often students perform.
  • If you aren't sure, a trial lesson is a good way to find out whether the teacher is a good match.

Planning the first lesson

  • Check the studio's page or contact them for the current timetable.
  • Ask what to bring. Some studios supply instruments for the first lesson, and others don't.
  • Leave time to park and find the room.
  • Keep early practice short. A few minutes most days beats one long session.

Keep checking back

Teachers and timetables change, so go to each studio's own page for the latest details. We're still adding music options across The Hills, so look at the listings below again soon.

Built from Roolu's local listings. Dates, prices and ages can change, so check with each organiser before you go.
