Four kids' events are listed for Parramatta and Cumberland right now, and all four are in Parramatta itself. We don't have any markets listed for the area yet, so this guide covers only the events we can point to. The events and clubs below are added as organisers publish them.
What is on in Parramatta
The listings mix sessions for little ones with shows for the whole family.
- PHIVE Presents: Wiggle, Jiggle & Grow is listed for ages 6 months to 4 years. It suits babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
- The Greatest Christmas Show, The Boy Who Found His Way Home and The Quizzical Mr Jeff are also listed. We don't have age ranges for these three, so check the organiser's page before you book.
Events and markets in other suburbs
Suburbs such as Merrylands, Auburn, Granville, Guildford, Westmead and Wentworthville have no events listed with us at the moment. That doesn't mean nothing is happening. It means we are still adding them. We also have no markets listed for the area yet, so if a market is on your list, check the council's own pages or the market's own page for what is on and when.
Ideas for choosing an event
- Look at the age range first. Sessions made for babies and toddlers are a very different outing from a show built for school-age children.
- If you have a mix of ages, pick a family show and ask the organiser whether younger children are welcome.
- Choose one event and keep the rest of the day light. Little ones often do better with one thing planned and room to rest.
How to plan the day
- Check the organiser's page for the time, price and booking details. We don't have those for these events.
- Work out how you will get to Parramatta before you leave, including parking or the train, and leave extra time if you are bringing a pram.
- Pack water and snacks, and check whether the venue has a place to feed or change little ones.
- Ask the organiser about seating, noise and access if your child has particular needs.
