Dance for kids in the Lower Blue Mountains is centred on Blaxland and Glenbrook, where we have five dance studios listed. Four are in Blaxland and one is in Glenbrook. We're still adding more, so this list may grow.
Dance studios in the area
In Blaxland, the listed studios are Glenbrook Ballet Theatre, Fusion Movement Studio, Dance On Pointe and Fanci Footwork Dance and Cheer. In Glenbrook, Highland Synergy Dance Studio is listed. The names suggest a mix of ballet, movement and cheer, but we don't have the styles, age ranges, prices or timetables, so please check with each studio.
There are no dance events listed at the moment. The studios run their own classes, and the events below will show anything new once we add it.

- Which styles do you teach, and which suit my child's age?
- Can my child try a class first?
- What should they wear, and do they need special shoes?
- Are there concerts or end-of-year shows, and what do they cost?

Choosing a studio
- Start close to home. Blaxland and Glenbrook are neighbouring suburbs, so you can look at studios in both without much travel.
- Try before you commit. Many children know within a class or two whether they like it.
- Think about the routine. A class on a day when your child is not tired from school is easier to enjoy.
- Ask about siblings. Some studios offer classes for several ages at once.
- Ask what a child needs to start. Some studios have a uniform and some do not, so find out before you buy anything.
