If you want swimming for kids in St Marys and Mount Druitt, we currently list three swim schools: JUMP! Swim Schools and Jump Swim Schools Ropes Crossing in St Marys, and Ready to Swim in Mount Druitt. We don't have class times, ages or prices for them, so the first step is a call or message to the school. This guide covers what we know and what to ask.
Swim schools we list
- JUMP! Swim Schools, St Marys
- Jump Swim Schools Ropes Crossing, listed under St Marys
- Ready to Swim, Mount Druitt
The area we cover takes in St Marys, Colyton, Oxley Park, Erskine Park, Minchinbury and Mount Druitt. We're still adding swimming classes, clubs and events across it. No swimming events are listed right now, so this page covers swim schools only.
Choosing one that suits you
Two of the schools are listed in St Marys and one in Mount Druitt. Check the drive from your own suburb to each one, and try it at the time of day you would actually go. If you will be going every week, a short, easy trip matters more than you might think. Children who arrive calm and unrushed usually enjoy their lesson more.
Questions to ask before you enrol
- What ages and skill levels do the classes take, and is there a level for beginners?
- How long is each lesson, and how many children are in a class?
- Can a parent be in the water with a younger child?
- Is there a trial lesson, and what does a term cost?
- How do make-up lessons work if your child is sick?
- Is there a spot ready now, or is there a waiting list?
Getting ready for lessons
Pack a towel, a spare set of clothes and a snack for afterwards. Goggles are worth a try for kids who dislike water on their face, but ask the school what it prefers. Arrive a little early the first time so your child can look around and meet the teacher.
Swim schools set their own timetables, fees and rules, and these change. Always confirm the details on the organiser's own page or by phone. The clubs listed below are the ones we have so far, and we will add more as we find them.
