Toongabbie has few listings of its own, so most holiday ideas for local families are in nearby Seven Hills, Wentworthville, Baulkham Hills and Blacktown. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 7 weeks). These are NSW public-school dates, and Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar. We're still adding holiday programs near Toongabbie.

What is on near Toongabbie

Library story times are the main events we have. Baulkham Hills Library lists Preschool Storytime and Baby Bounce, and Wentworthville Library has a Water Safety Storytime. For a change of scene, a bushcare meet up is listed at Snowy Reserve in Seven Hills, and a youth legal workshop run by UNSW is listed in Blacktown. We don't have an age range for the workshop, so check it with the organiser.

Ideas by age

  • Babies and preschoolers: Baby Bounce and Preschool Storytime at Baulkham Hills Library.
  • Primary-age kids: the Water Safety Storytime at Wentworthville Library, then a visit to a nearby library playground.
  • Kids who like dance: 2Step Dance is listed in Seven Hills. Ask whether it has anything on in the holidays.
  • Older kids and teens: the youth legal workshop and the bushcare meet up may suit them. Check the ages first.

Places to go

Our directory also lists Wentworthville Memorial Swim Centre, the Constitution Hill Library playground, Lalor Park Library and the PRCAC Model Aerodrome, all under Seven Hills. Toongabbie Sports and Bowling Club is listed too. Check opening hours, entry costs and whether children can join in before you go.

Planning the day

These places are spread across several suburbs, so choose one or two and work out the trip before you leave. A library session followed by a playground is a simple half day. If you plan to swim, ask the centre about its season and prices. Some sessions may need a booking, so ask the organiser. Pack water, snacks and sun protection, and keep a backup idea for a wet day.

The organisers' own pages have the latest times and details, so check them before you head out.

Built from Roolu's local listings. Dates, prices and ages can change, so check with each organiser before you go.
