Several clubs and venues are based in the suburb itself. For active kids, there are two martial arts options, UFA Martial Arts Academy and Yukan Kai Karate Do, and Penrith District Netball Association for netball. Zone Bowling and AMF Bowling are both listed, which gives you a choice of bowling when you want an easy outing with friends or cousins. Flipout, Oxigen Fitness and Fit 'n' Fun Academy are also listed in South Penrith. We don't have their holiday timetables, so ask each one whether it runs holiday sessions, what ages it takes and whether you need to book.
Ideas for planning the break
- Pick one outing in Penrith and one local activity in South Penrith each week, so the days have some shape without being packed.
- Ring or message the organiser first. Holiday programs often have set sessions and limited spots, and we can't confirm availability for you.
- Ask about age ranges. Our listings don't always state them, so check that the activity suits your child.
- Keep a quiet day in the mix. Bowling is a handy fallback when you want something easy and close to home.
- Sports clubs often run to their own seasons, so ask whether training carries on during the break.
