Prospect families have a good mix of sport, water play and a library close by. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 7 weeks). These are NSW public-school dates. Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar before you book anything.

What is on near Prospect

We list one event at the moment: a Bushcare meet up at Snowy Reserve in Seven Hills. It is an outdoor activity with a community group. We don't have the time, the ages or how to join, so contact the organiser first.

We're still adding holiday programs near Prospect, so this will grow.

Sport and active play

Several sporting venues are listed in Prospect. They include H.E Laybutt Sporting Complex, Janice Crosio Oval, Futboltec HQ Wetherill Park and Wenty Leagues Club. There is also the Castle Hill RSL Smallbore Rifle Club. We don't know which of these run holiday sessions for children, or what ages they take. Ask each one about trial days, holiday clinics and any age limits. Sport is often easiest to try when you ask for a one-off session first.

Water and play

Raging Waters Sydney and Nickelodeon Beach are both listed for Prospect. These are the kind of places where a whole day can go, so check opening days, ticketing and what to bring on the organiser's own page. We don't have prices or hours for them. Ask whether children need an adult with them.

A quieter option

Greystanes Library is also listed. Libraries are a calm place to borrow books, and some run activities for kids. Ask the staff what is on over the break.

Planning your holidays

  • Mix a big day with a few easy ones, so the budget and the energy last.
  • Check the weather before an outdoor day, and have an indoor backup such as the library.
  • Book early where the organiser asks for it.
  • Pack water, sunscreen and a hat for outdoor days.

If you want to try the Bushcare meet up, allow travel time between Prospect and Seven Hills, and wear closed shoes.

For the latest times, ages and costs, go to the organisers' own pages. The events and clubs below show everything we have so far.

Built from Roolu's local listings. Dates, prices and ages can change, so check with each organiser before you go.
