Parklea parents, here is the quick version: the listings we have mix library sessions for little ones, dance classes for ages 3 to 11, and swim and sport options in Kellyville and Quakers Hill. None of these are marked as holiday-only programs yet, so use this as a shortlist and ask the organisers what they run once school is out.

The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). These are NSW public-school dates, and Catholic and independent schools can differ.

For babies, toddlers and preschoolers

Vinegar Hill Memorial Library in Rouse Hill lists Baby Bounce, Toddler Time and Preschool Storytime. Check the library for times, ages and whether you need to book.

There is also a Teddy Bear Picnic and Christmas Markets event in Blacktown, and a children's edition of a Swap your style party at The Ponds. Both are worth checking with the organiser for details.

Dance and movement

  • Rouse Hill: Jazz Hip Hop for ages 3 to 6, Ballet for ages 3 to 6, and Jazz Hip Hop for ages 7 to 11.
  • Kellyville: Mini Magic, Dance&Fun Jnr and Dance&Fun Snr, plus Creative Dance Academy Blacktown.

The Rouse Hill classes are the ones with stated age ranges, so start there if you want to match a class to your child's age.

Water, sport and libraries

  • Stanhope Aquatic Centre in Kellyville and Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope in Quakers Hill. Check opening times and entry costs with each venue.
  • Quakers Hill Destroyers, Quakers Hill Tigers Soccer Club and North West Hurricanes Junior Rugby League Club, all listed in Quakers Hill.
  • Dennis Johnson Library and Stanhope Gardens, also listed in Quakers Hill.

For older kids there is also The Criminal Process, a UNSW Youth Legal Workshop in Blacktown. Ask the organiser which age group it is for.

Planning your days

  • Rouse Hill, Kellyville and Quakers Hill are separate spots, so cluster your outings and check travel times on your map.
  • Ask about a trial session before you pay for a term of anything.
  • Leave a day or two open so the break is not all running between activities.

The events and clubs below are the live listings, and the organisers' own pages always have the latest times and prices.

Built from Roolu's local listings. Dates, prices and ages can change, so check with each organiser before you go.
