Glenbrook has more clubs than headline events listed right now. That is useful if your kids like to sign up for something regular, and less useful if you want a one-off outing every day. None of what we have is marked as a holiday-only program yet, so ask each organiser what they run when school is out.
The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). These are NSW public-school dates. Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar.
Clubs on your doorstep
Most of what we list is in Glenbrook itself or in nearby Leonay:
- Dance: Highland Synergy Dance Studio and Barker Dance School, both in Glenbrook.
- Athletics and swimming: Glenbrook Little Athletics Club and Glenbrook Swimming Club, both in Glenbrook.
- Football: Blue Mountains Soccer Club in Glenbrook and Blue Mountains FC in Leonay.
- Creative: Blue Mountains Creative Arts Centre in Leonay.
- Bowling: Glenbrook Panthers Bowling Club in Leonay.
Seasons for sport vary, so ask whether kids can come along for a trial and what the club offers in the holidays.
One show and one class
We have two listings in Emu Plains:
- Alice in Wonderland: The Musical, a stage show. Check the organiser for session times, ticket details and the ages it suits.
- A Monday early childhood art class, which is one for the younger kids. Ask the organiser about ages and whether the holidays change the schedule.
Stretching the plan
- Glenbrook, Leonay and Emu Plains are close neighbours, but check travel times on your map before you plan two things in a day.
- Ask about ages. Most club listings do not state them, so a quick message saves a wasted trip.
- Book early where you can, and leave some days free for the park or the backyard.
