Pagewood families can mix local sport, library sessions, kids classes and a few bigger events across the eastern suburbs. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). These are the NSW public-school dates. Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar.
The listings are spread across Pagewood, Eastgardens, Daceyville, Alexandria, Zetland and Moore Park. We're still adding holiday programs near Pagewood, so this is a starting list.
Events
Six events are listed in the events and clubs below. For younger children, Green Square Library in Zetland has Rhymetime for ages 0 to 2 and Storytime for ages 3 to 5. Sunday skateboarding lessons are listed in Alexandria, and Cirque du Soleil's Kooza is listed at Moore Park. Tickets, dates and who each event suits are up to the organisers, so check their pages. Two Alexandria events are aimed at parents, so check whether children can come along.
Classes
Two classes are listed in Daceyville, Kid's Play and Kid's Acro. Ask the organiser about ages, session times and whether a trial class is possible.
Clubs and local spots
Eight places are listed:
- Mutch Park Squash & Tennis Centre in Pagewood.
- Randwick Botany Little Athletics Centre, KIKOFF Eastern Suburbs and Maroubra Missiles Junior Rugby Union Club.
- Maroubra Swimming School.
- Eastgardens Library and Timezone Australia, both in Eastgardens.
- Maroubra Police Citizens Youth Club in Daceyville.
The mix means you can look for something active or something quieter. Clubs often have set seasons, so ask what is on during the break and which ages each one takes.
Ideas by age
For under-fives, the two library sessions at Green Square are the clearest match, with listed ages of 0 to 2 and 3 to 5. For older children, the skateboarding lessons, Little Athletics, the rugby club and the swimming school are the places to ask about ages, because the listings don't give them. A show such as Kooza is a bigger outing, so check the organiser for who it suits and how long it runs. For younger children, keep any outing short and leave time to rest.
Planning the day
- Pick one main activity and check the travel time from Pagewood first.
- For classes, lessons and shows, confirm or book with the organiser.
- Bring water and sun protection for anything outdoors.
- The organisers' own pages have the latest details.
