There aren't many holiday programs listed right in Greystanes yet, but there are options a short trip away in Prospect, Merrylands and Wentworthville. This guide pulls together what is listed so you can plan the school holidays.
The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 7 weeks). These are NSW public-school dates, and Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar.
Events close to Greystanes
Two events are listed nearby. Super Smart Play Bus Playgroup is in Merrylands, and Water Safety Storytime is at Wentworthville Library. Neither is in Greystanes itself, so work out the travel time before you commit. Dates, times and age groups are set by the organisers, so ask whether a session runs during the holidays. A playgroup is often aimed at younger children, so check that it suits yours.
Clubs and venues around Prospect
A number of listings sit under Prospect, and Greystanes Library is listed there too. For sport, there are Futboltec HQ Wetherill Park, H.E Laybutt Sporting Complex, Janice Crosio Oval and Wenty Leagues Club. Castle Hill RSL Smallbore Rifle Club is also listed. We don't have age limits or holiday timetables for these, so ask each one before you go.
Raging Waters Sydney and Nickelodeon Beach are listed as well, which makes them worth a look for a hot day out. Check opening times, ticket prices and any age or height rules with them directly, because we don't hold those details.
Ideas for planning the break
- Start with Greystanes Library. Ask the staff what they have for children over the holidays.
- Group your trips. If you are heading to Wentworthville or Merrylands for an event, see what else is close by on the same day.
- Check the way there by car or public transport before you set off, especially with little ones.
- Ask about booking. Popular sessions can fill up, and only the organiser can tell you.
- Leave a free day or two. Kids often enjoy a rest at home as much as an outing.
