Looking for school holiday activities near Burwood Heights? We have six events, six classes and eight clubs listed across Burwood, Homebush, Enfield, Ashfield, Leichhardt and Canada Bay. The events and clubs below come from the organisers' own listings.
The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). These are New South Wales public-school dates. Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar before you plan.
Events at Burwood and Homebush
Burwood has most of the events, including Reading Rocks!, Burwood Brick Builders and Toddler Time. Homebush has Reading Rangers and a pre-school storytime. Get Job Ready! is also listed at Burwood, so ask the organiser what age it suits. We don't have session times or prices for any of these, so check with the organiser before you head out.
Swimming, art and dance
Funfitness Swim School is listed in Burwood Heights itself. Little Monsters Swim School, Splash Enfield, Enfield Swimming Centre and Enfield Life Saving Club are all listed in Enfield. For creative kids, Kidz Artworx Art School and Gallery and the Art Just for Fun classes are both in Enfield. Maria Nicola's Academy of Dance is in Burwood, and Kpop Kids and Kpop Teens run in Ashfield. Tam Taekwon-Do Mudokwan, also in Burwood, is the martial arts club on the list.
Little Tigers, Mini Tigers and Mini Tigresses are listed at Canada Bay and Leichhardt. Ask the organiser what they teach and which ages they take.
Ideas by age
- Toddlers and pre-schoolers: Toddler Time at Burwood and the pre-school storytime at Homebush.
- Teens: Kpop Teens in Ashfield.
- Everyone else: most listings don't state an age range, so ask each organiser before you book.
Planning your days
Most of these options are in neighbouring suburbs rather than in Burwood Heights, so look up the trip before you commit. Pick one main activity for the day and leave room around it. A swim session or a quiet hour at an event works well with younger kids.
Ask each organiser whether you need to book, and whether the class or club runs during the school break. We're still adding holiday programs near Burwood Heights, so check back. For the latest dates, times and prices, use the organisers' own pages.
