Families around Bidwill can find art programs, martial arts, a pool and plenty of junior sport within a short drive. We list three events, four classes and eight clubs and venues near Bidwill. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). Those are the NSW public-school dates, and Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar.
Classes
- Art Programs 4.5 - 8 years and Art Programs 6-13 years are both listed in Llandilo. Together they cover ages 4.5 to 13.
- Little Tigers and Kids Karate, Self Defense and Jiu Jitsu Classes are listed in Mount Druitt. We don't have an age range for either, so ask the organiser.
Other martial arts options are Nihon Bugeikan Martial Arts in Oxley Park. Ask the club about ages and holiday sessions.
Clubs, pools and sport
In Plumpton we list Mount Druitt Little Athletics Centre, Mount Druitt Netball Association, Western City Rangers, Western Raptors Rugby Clubs and Emerton Pools. In Oxley Park there is Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre. Blacktown Pistol Club is also listed in Oxley Park, and we don't suggest it for children without checking the club's own rules on age and supervision.
We don't have prices, opening times or holiday programs for these. Many sporting clubs run by season, so ask whether anything is on in the holidays.
Events
- Bushcare meet up at Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside is a chance to get outdoors. Check with the organiser whether children can join.
- Santa's Arrival Parade at Westfield Mt Druitt is in Mount Druitt.
- Elara Village Night Market is in Marsden Park.
We leave out the dates here on purpose. The organisers publish them.
Planning the day
Suburbs in this list are spread out, so check the drive before you plan two stops. Pack water, hats and sunscreen if you are heading to the pool or a reserve. Book directly with organisers who ask for it, and ask about ages and what to bring when you do.
