The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). These are New South Wales public-school dates. Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar.
In Banksia and Rockdale
Camp Cobark - Barrington Tops is listed under Banksia. We don't know what it offers, so ask the organiser about ages and dates. In Rockdale, Rockdale Library, Kyokushin Karate St. George, Fit Dojo Karate Taekwondo, G4 Guitar Schools and Miss Fisher's Ballet Academy are listed. Stadium Rockdale is listed at Earlwood and Infinity Dance Australia at Arncliffe. Ask each organiser about age groups and what runs in the school break.
Classes in Marrickville and nearby
The classes are mostly further north. READY SET DANCE and READY SET DANCE Level 1 are in Marrickville, and so are JAM BUDDIES and Aiki Kids Club. A second Aiki Kids Club is at Undercliffe. Little Kickers for ages 5 to 8 is listed at Sydenham. Ask each organiser about times and prices.
Events
STEM and Stories for ages 5 to 10 is listed at St George. The Decathlon Tempe Kids Sports Party is in Tempe and the Campsie Lantern Festival is in Campsie. A Sashiko sewing workshop is listed at Marrickville, but we don't know the ages it suits. Event dates vary and some may fall outside the break, so check the organiser's page for when each one is on.
