Days out
Sydney Zoo is listed at both Eastern Creek and Minchinbury, and Sydney Zoo Aquarium is listed at Minchinbury. It is the biggest outing on the list. We don't have opening times, ticket prices or ages, so check the zoo's own page before you plan. Aquafin Swim School is listed at Blacktown if you want something water-based.
Classes in Doonside
The classes are in Doonside. Physie is listed in three age groups: 3 to 6 years, 7 to 8 years and 9 to 12 years. There are also Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Art Classes. If you have kids at different stages, the age bands and levels make it easier to match. Ask the organiser about times and whether the classes run in the school break.
Sport, dance and outdoors
187 Muay Thai Boxing & Fitness and Victory Cheer and Dance are listed at Eastern Creek. Blacktown City Bears Junior Rugby League Club is at Blacktown, and Arohana Dance Academy is at Rooty Hill. Clubs often have their own age groups, so ask before you go.
Two bushcare meet-ups are listed: one at Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside and one at Doonside Crescent Bushland Reserve in Blacktown. They suit families who like to be outdoors, but ask the organiser about ages and what to bring. A UNSW youth legal workshop, The Criminal Process, is listed at Blacktown. Check the age it suits.
