Looking for outdoor things to do with kids in the Eastern Suburbs? Right now Roolu lists two outdoor events and two outdoor clubs in the area. They are Camping 101 at Centennial Park, Jazz in Chiswick Park in Woollahra, Malabar Riding School in Malabar and Taronga Zoo, which is listed under Maroubra. It is a short list, and we are still adding more.

What is listed now

The events and clubs below this guide have the latest details and links to the organisers. Here is what the listings tell us:

  • Camping 101 is held at Centennial Park. Ask the organiser what it involves and which ages it suits.
  • Jazz in Chiswick Park is in Woollahra. It is an event in a park, so check with the organiser whether it suits younger children.
  • Malabar Riding School is in Malabar. Contact the school about lessons, ages and bookings.
  • Taronga Zoo is listed under Maroubra in our data. Check the address and ticket details on the zoo's own page before you plan a trip.

Events and clubs are different

Camping 101 and Jazz in Chiswick Park are events, so they happen at set times. Malabar Riding School and Taronga Zoo are listed as clubs, so you can ask about ongoing options. Neither kind of listing gives us ages, prices or opening times, so we have left those out rather than guess.

Where the listings are

Four suburbs have an outdoor listing today: Centennial Park, Woollahra, Malabar and Maroubra. If you live somewhere else in the Eastern Suburbs, work out the travel time first. A short drive or bus ride can be fine for a one-off event, but a regular activity is easier when it is close to home.

Planning an outdoor day

  • Check the organiser's page for start times, costs and what to bring.
  • Ask about age limits. We only know the name and place of each listing.
  • Outdoor plans depend on the weather, so ask what happens if it rains.
  • Check parking or public transport before you leave, especially for park events.
  • Pack water, sunscreen and a hat for any day outside.
  • Keep the first trip short. Little legs tire quickly, and you can always stay longer next time.

Still adding more

We are still adding outdoor options for the Eastern Suburbs, so this list will grow. Check back for new events and clubs, and look at the organisers' own pages for the latest details before you head out.

Built from Roolu's local listings. Dates, prices and ages can change, so check with each organiser before you go.
