If you're after events and markets for kids on the Northern Beaches, here is the honest picture: Roolu has four events listed right now, two themed around the ocean in Manly and one litter clean-up in Belrose, and no markets yet. The Northern Beaches is a big area with a long list of suburbs, so we are still adding more. This guide covers what is listed and how to plan around it.

Clean-ups and ocean events

The listed events lean towards the environment and the water.

  • Litter Clean up with Belrose Eagles and Emu Parade in Belrose.
  • Ocean Festival, Marine Litter Bin to Win, in Manly.
  • Manly Snorkel Tour with Ecotreasures, which is also an Ocean Festival event.
  • The Underwater Photography Competition Finalists Exhibition in Manly.

Most of these suit kids who like being outdoors or curious about sea life. We don't have age limits for any of them, so check the organiser before you book, especially for the snorkel tour, where swimming ability and age rules may apply.

What about markets?

No markets are listed for the Northern Beaches right now, and we won't guess at any. If you know a local market that welcomes families, tell us and we can look into it. Meanwhile, the organisers of community and council events often share market news on their own pages.

Planning a family outing

  • Start with Manly. Two of the four events are there, so you could combine an exhibition visit with an ocean-themed activity, if the dates line up.
  • Check start times, tickets and what to bring with each organiser. We don't hold prices for these events.
  • The Belrose clean-up is a hands-on way to teach kids about looking after the bush. Ask the organisers about gloves, supervision and age rules.
  • Check parking and public transport before you leave. Beachside areas can be busy on a sunny weekend.

Keep an eye out

Events and markets change often, and new ones are added as organisers publish them. Check back, and when you spot something you like, confirm the details on the organiser's own page. Dates, times and conditions are theirs to set, and they will always have the latest information. The events below are the ones we have today.

Built from Roolu's local listings. Dates, prices and ages can change, so check with each organiser before you go.
