There are several art studios and creative schools listed for kids in Blacktown & the North-West, from Blacktown to Quakers Hill. We have no arts events or one-off classes listed right now, so this guide is about the studios and centres. Ask each one about ages, class times and how to start.
Art studios
- Cviisual Art Studio (Blacktown)
- Iris Art Studio (Doonside)
- Canvas walls school of art (Quakers Hill)
- MK Creative Arts (Rooty Hill)
- Innova Creations (Seven Hills)
These are listed under arts for kids. We haven't been given the age ranges, prices or exactly what each one teaches, so look at their own pages or ask before you go.
Arts centre
Blacktown Arts Centre in Blacktown is a good one to keep an eye on. We don't have its program details here, so check what it has on for families.
Music, performance and mixed arts
- Sounds N Shapes Music & Art Academy Blacktown (Blacktown), which mixes music and art.
- Masque National Institute of Performing Arts (Seven Hills), for kids who lean towards performing.
These suit children who like to sing, move or act as well as draw and paint. Ask about trial classes and what age groups they take.
Choosing a studio
- Ask what your child will make in a first session and what materials are included.
- Ask about class size and whether a parent can stay.
- Ask how booking and payment work.
- Ask whether a trial class is possible before you commit.
Where they are
Blacktown has two of the listed places, and Seven Hills has two. Doonside, Rooty Hill and Quakers Hill have one each. We don't have anything listed yet for Prospect, Plumpton, Schofields, Riverstone or Eastern Creek, and we're still adding more. If you are in one of those suburbs, check the trip to the nearest studio at the time of day classes run.
The studios below link to what we know so far. For the latest on classes, use the organisers' own pages or contact them directly.
