Looking for school holiday activities in Botany? We list sport, acrobatics, craft, music, storytimes and two pools in and around Botany, Alexandria and Zetland. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). These are NSW public-school dates; Catholic and independent schools can differ.
Events nearby
Six events are listed, mostly in Alexandria and Zetland:
- Sunday skateboarding lessons and NBA Basketball School, both in Alexandria
- Rhymetime at Green Square Library for ages 0 to 2
- Storytime at Green Square Library for ages 3 to 5
- Bump, Baby & Beyond and Barbells and Babies, also in Alexandria
The last two sound aimed at parents rather than children, so ask the organiser what they involve before you book. Events are one-offs, and some may fall outside the break. Check each on the events below.
Classes
Three classes are listed. Kid's Play and Kid's Acro run in Daceyville, and Little Kickers for ages 5 to 8 runs in Sydenham. If you have children who like to move, that gives you play, acrobatics and football skills to choose from. Ask each provider whether classes run in the break.
Clubs and places in Botany
Eight clubs and venues are listed in Botany. For active children there are Australian Karate Academy, Gracie Botany Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy and Alexandria Dukes RFC. For creative children there are Creativity Wild Mosaics and Craft, Pose Performance Academy and Circle Music Australia. There are also two pools, Botany Aquatic Centre and Botany Pool. We don't hold opening times or entry costs for the pools, so check with the venue and follow the signs and staff on the day.
Planning the day
- Library sessions suit a short outing. Check the library for session times.
- Match the activity to the age. Only some listings state ages.
