Bardwell Valley families have more listed than most suburbs we cover: six events, six classes and eight clubs across the St George area and the inner west. The Summer school holidays run from 18 Dec 2026 to 27 Jan 2027 (starting in 6 weeks). Those are NSW public-school dates; Catholic and independent schools can differ, so check your own school's calendar.
Not every event will fall inside the break, so check each organiser for the day and time before you plan around it.
Events
- Music Together: Free Playgroup in Marrickville, named as a free playgroup
- Decathlon Tempe Kids Sports Party in Tempe
- STEM and Stories, for ages 5 to 10, in St George
- Community Christmas Concert in St George
- Campsie Lantern Festival in Campsie
- Sashiko Workshop with Yoshi: Mindful Sewing and Repair in Marrickville
The sewing workshop does not state an age, so ask the organiser whether children can join. For the rest, details are as the organisers publish them.
Classes
Aiki Kids Club is listed in both Undercliffe and Marrickville. In Roselands there are READY SET BALLET, First Steps READY SET DANCE and Prep READY SET DANCE. Little Kickers Ages 5 to 8 is listed in Sydenham. Our listing states ages only for Little Kickers, so ask about the rest.

- Martial arts: IKO Goju Ryu Karate-Do Australia and Kempo Genbu Ryu Karate in Earlwood

The events and clubs below show every listing with a link to the organiser.
Planning the days
The listings are spread over several suburbs, so check travel time and parking before you go. A free playgroup and the libraries give you low-cost options alongside paid sessions, though we hold no opening times for the libraries. For Camp Cobark, contact the organiser about dates and ages.
Many classes follow the school term, so ask whether they offer holiday sessions, trial days or casual entry. Booking is with the organiser, and places can fill, so ask early.
