A wet day does not have to mean a long day. Roolu lists indoor options around Parramatta and Cumberland, including library robot tutoring, playgroups, basketball clinics, gymnastics and hapkido. This guide sticks to those indoor ideas only.
Libraries, robots and 3D printing
ABii Robot Tutoring is listed at Dundas Library for ages 4 to 11 and at Parramatta Library. Wentworth Point Library has a 3D Design to Print session using Onshape. Libraries are a reliable wet-weather stop, so check the library for session times, ages and whether you need to book.
Playgroups and early learning
The Super Smart Play Bus Playgroup is listed in Merrylands, and a School Readiness Program is listed in Auburn. For babies and toddlers, Baby & Tiny Stars Gymnastics is listed in Baulkham Hills. Ask each organiser about ages and what to bring, and whether parents stay.
Active classes for school-age kids
Basketball Clinics are listed in Merrylands, one for ages 6 to 9 and one for ages 10 to 13. Kid's Hapkido for ages 4 to 9 is in Auburn. Introduction to Football is listed for ages 5 to 8 and ages 9 to 14 in Baulkham Hills. There are also group classes in Auburn and Granville, including Youth 1, Hawks, Falcons and Shark. Roolu does not hold more detail on those, so check the organiser for what they involve and who they suit.
Planning a wet day
- Ring ahead, since wet weather can change plans and some sessions fill up.
- Pack a towel and a change of clothes for the walk from the car.
- Pick one main activity and a backup, like a library visit.
- Check parking and travel, because the listings spread across Merrylands, Auburn, Granville, Dundas and Parramatta.
No indoor clubs are listed for this area yet, and we are still adding more. The events and classes below show the latest, and each organiser's own page has the final word on times, prices and ages.
