On a wet day, Liverpool City Library has indoor sessions listed for kids from babies to age 12. All the indoor options we have for this area are in Liverpool, and nothing is listed yet for Fairfield, Cecil Hills or Horsley Park. We're still adding more.
Babies and toddlers
- Baby Rhymetime, for ages 0 to 18 months
- Toddler Time, for 18 months to 3 years
- Supported Playgroups, for ages 0 to 5
These are short sessions that suit small children who need to get out of the house. Ask the library about days, times and whether you need to book.
Preschool age
- Preschool Storytime, for ages 3 to 5
- Transition to School, for 4-year-olds
Transition to School is aimed at children getting ready for big school. Ask the library what the session covers and how many weeks it runs.
School age
- Saturday Storytime at Liverpool City Library, for ages 1 to 7
- School's Out, for ages 5 to 12
- A youth chess program at Liverpool City Library (Yellamundie)
Saturday Storytime is open to a wide age range, so it can suit siblings together. School's Out is listed for ages 5 to 12. We don't have details of the chess program's age range, so ask the library whether it suits your child.
Planning a wet day
- Wet weather slows traffic, so leave extra time to reach Liverpool, especially from Fairfield or Horsley Park.
- Check parking and the closest entrance to the door.
- Pack a spare set of clothes, a towel for damp kids and a snack.
- Book where the library asks for it. We don't take bookings.
- Have a back-up plan, such as a book to borrow, if the session you want is full.
Program times and ages are set by the library and can change, so use Liverpool City Library's own page for the latest details before you go.
