Four music teachers and schools are listed for the Hawkesbury: two in Richmond and two in Windsor. We have no music events or short courses listed right now, so this guide is about regular lessons. The list is short, and we're still adding more.
Richmond
Two are listed in Richmond: Pitch Perfect Vocal Studio and Richmond Music School. The name of the first suggests singing lessons, and the second looks like a general music school. We only have the names and suburb, so ask each one which instruments and ages it covers.
Windsor
Two are listed in Windsor: Blake's Music Tuition and Greater Sydney Music Academy. Again, ask what each one teaches, whether lessons are one-to-one or in groups, and what the youngest age is.
Questions to ask before you enrol
- Which instruments or singing styles are taught, and from what age?
- Are lessons one-to-one or in a small group?
- How long is each lesson, and which days and times have spaces?
- Is there a trial lesson?
- What are the fees, and are there extra costs for books, exams or concerts?
- Do I need to buy or hire an instrument first?
Prices, ages and times are not in our listings, so the teacher or school is the one to ask.
Choosing for your child
Choose a school or teacher you can get to easily, because a weekly trip adds up over a term. If your child is new to music, a trial lesson is a low-pressure way to see whether they enjoy it. Voice lessons can suit kids who love to sing, while an instrument suits those who like to work something out by hand. Short practice most days helps more than one long session.
If you are choosing between Richmond and Windsor, look at where you already travel, such as school or work, and see which is easier to fit in. We're still adding more Hawkesbury music teachers, so check back for new listings. For the latest details, use each organiser's own page.
