Werrington has a handful of places listed, and a few more events are just up the road at Penrith City Library. Most listings don't say which ages they suit, so this guide shows what is nearby and what to ask before you go with a child aged 0 to 3.
Story time and library visits
Dharug Story Time with Jasmine Seymour and Penrith City Library's Children's Team is listed in Penrith, and St Marys Library is listed under Werrington. A story time or library visit is easy to fit around a nap, and easy to leave early if your toddler has had enough. Ask the library about baby and toddler sessions and the days they run. Robotics at Penrith City Library is also listed, but we don't have an age range, so ask whether it suits under-fours.
Other places in Werrington
Oceanarium Aquarium and Go Banana's are both listed in Werrington. We have no details on either, so ask what they offer for toddlers and whether there are quieter times to visit. Write Out West Family Fun Day is listed in Penrith as a family event. Check the organisers' page for the date and what is on for little ones.
Several other Werrington clubs, such as Shaolin Martial Arts Centres, Shilla Taekwondo, Yukan Kai Karate Do, Glenmore Park Basketball Club and Western Sydney Volleyball, are sports and martial arts groups. They may not take children under four, so ask about minimum ages before you turn up.
Nearby suburbs
The Werrington area also takes in Kingswood, Cambridge Park, St Marys and Oxley Park. We don't have toddler sessions listed in those yet, and we're still adding them.
Tips for ages 0 to 3
- Plan one outing a day and time it around naps and meals.
- Pack water, snacks, spare clothes and nappy supplies.
- Ask about pram access, parking and a quiet space if your toddler needs a break.
- Arrive a little early, as new places can overwhelm small children.
- Book with the organiser if they ask you to, because small sessions can fill.
Times and details change, so use the organisers' own pages for the latest information before you go.
