If you are looking for toddler activities in Penrith and the Nepean, our listings are thin for ages 0 to 3. We hold five events in Penrith and no toddler classes or clubs yet. This guide is honest about that and shows how to check what suits your little one.
What we hold
The Penrith events on our list are Robotics at Penrith City Library, Dharug Story Time with Jasmine Seymour and the library's Children's Team, Write Out West Family Fun Day, Community Fishing at Sydney International Regatta Centre and a carnival at Panthers Penrith. None of them state an age range in our information, so we cannot say which suit children aged 0 to 3.
What to ask the organiser
- What ages is the session for, and can toddlers come along with a parent?
- Is there a cost, and do you need to book?
- How long does it run? Short sessions often suit toddlers best.
- Is there space for prams and somewhere to change a nappy?
- Is the activity indoors or outdoors?
A story time at a library is the kind of session where it is worth asking whether little ones are welcome. A family fun day may be easy to join, but check how busy it will be and whether there are quiet spaces.
Planning an outing with a toddler
Keep it short. One activity and a snack is usually enough. Time your trip around naps and meals, and leave earlier than you think you need to. Bring spare clothes, wipes and water. A pram or carrier makes walking between car and venue easier.
If an event is busy or noisy, step outside for a few minutes. Many toddlers do better when they can watch first and join in later.
Not yet on our list
We do not currently hold playgroups, baby sensory sessions or toddler classes in Penrith and the Nepean area. We are still adding them. Penrith City Library and your local council's events page are worth checking in the meantime.
Check the latest
Organisers change times and add sessions without much notice. The events below link to their own pages, and those pages have the latest details. Contact the organiser first if you are unsure whether a session suits your child.
